At the top of Disney’s Riviera Resort you can find a beautiful, upscale dining experience. Here you can find Topolino’s Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera, one of Disney’s fine dining locations. I had the pleasure of recently dining here for dinner not once, but twice in one trip. And let me say, it did not disappoint. I was blown away by the dining experience from start to finish.
Topolino’s has a fantastic ambiance. From the restaurant, you can overlook a lit up Riviera Resort and Caribbean Beach Resort. You can enjoy a cocktail and the view out on the terrace and admire the views. The restaurant has stunning decorations and theming. Our servers both evenings were absolute pleasures to dine with. Both Cast Members were personable, friendly, and attentive.
This restaurant features a mix of Italian and French cuisine. I was fortunate enough to dine with family and friends who were willing to share, so I was able to try quite a few dishes. We began both meals with the Ricotta. This appetizer was so rich and creamy. It was served with delicious bread and a tomato puree. We were fighting over who got the last bites.
On the first night we dined at Topolino’s, we ordered the Rigatoni, the Lobster Fettuccine and the Tomahawk Veal Chop for our entrees. The Rigatoni was absolutely incredible. It was in a yummy cream sauce with the added protein of the chicken. The Lobster Fettuccine was so beautifully presented. The lobster tail was like butter and the squid ink tuile added a unique touch to the dish. The Tomahawk Veal Chop was absolutely enormous! The meat was so tender and the side of potato-spring onion gratin was perfectly cheesy.
We wrapped the meal with two amazing desserts. We finished off with the Warm Valrhona Chocolate Cake and the Pistachio Mousse. The mousse was creamy and flavorful. But, you definitely have to be a pistachio lover to enjoy this dessert. The chocolate cake was one of my favorite parts of the meal. The cake has a rich chocolate core and was served with a side of vanilla ice cream. This was the perfect way to top a delicious meal.
For my second Topolino’s dining experience, we started the meal again with the Ricotta again (yes, it was that delicious!). We then ordered the Filet Mignon, the Rigatoni, and the Classic Sole Meunière. A friend and I were planning to split the filet and the pasta, and our server informed us that the kitchen could split the portions for us. While not every portion can be split, this is fantastic for guests who wish to do so. We each received one plate of pasta and one plate of meat. Both were plated beautifully and we were able to enjoy our “own” dishes. The fish was cooked to perfection. The potatoes that were served with it were the perfect side.
Topolino’s Terrace was the perfect upscale dining experience. This is a great spot for a date night, a special occasion, or just to treat yourself to a great meal! I can promise you that I will be back. I hope that you can enjoy Topolino’s as much as my friends, family, and I did!
