Disney During the Holidays

The holiday season is truly one of my favorite times of the year. Everything is brighter and happier as we approach and prepare for the holidays. More importantly, this is one of the best times of the year to visit Walt Disney World. The parks and resorts are filled with a special type of magic that cannot be found any other time. There are so many special things to see and do during the holiday season.

One of my favorite Disney holiday activities is resort hopping to see the decorations. Each resort has its own unique theme and it shows through the holiday decor. You can find gingerbread houses, beautifully decorated Christmas trees and so much more when visiting each resort.

The parks are even more festive than the resorts. Each park is spectacularly decorated with trees, wreaths, lights and more. Everywhere you look you will find festive decor that will put you right in the holiday spirit. You will spot Mickey, Minnie and the gang in their festive holiday outfits. You can even spend your day enjoying special holiday treats throughout each park!

When visiting Disney during the holidays, you can enjoy special events. This year, guests can enjoy the special after hours event at Magic Kingdom, Disney Very Merriest After Hours. During this exclusive ticketed event guests can experience short wait times, special parades and fireworks, and character sightings. Guests can also enjoy the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. Included in their EPCOT park admission, guests can snack around the holiday kitchens and experience the one-of-a-kind Candlelight Processional. Don’t forget to visit Disney Springs and take a stroll through the Christmas Tree Trail!

There are so many unique experiences that are filled with holiday spirit and extra Disney magic. There is no better time to visit Disney than during the holiday season.
